#BlessedBreak: Pray to End Famine

Imagine a brother or sister who is naked and never has enough food to eat. What if one of you said, “Go in peace! Stay warm! Have a nice meal!”? What good is it if you don’t actually give them what their body needs? In the same way, faith is dead when it doesn’t result in faithful activity.

James 2:15-17

God of life, we pray for the hungry. We know that food is more than a human right; it is a divine gift that cannot be impeded. We acknowledge that hunger crises are preventable. Help us to reflect, act and move together. Give us the humility, courage and willingness to respond to the needs of our sisters and brothers in dire situations in a compassionate, timely and sufficient manner

May we always be hungry for righteousness and overcome injustices that bring about hunger.

May we always be hungry for peace and overcome insecurity, suffering and displacement.

May we always yearn to care for each other and the environment. May the earth remain abundant for all creation. #ACoBAmen
