For All the Saints

The family of God includes our community of saints and we are to keep inviting others to be a part of this radical family.

Do we need saving to adjust to the priorities of Jesus’ family? Just as Jesus tears down the ideas that keep people locked in the same old ways, we need to be pulled from our comfortable old ways in order to see the value in the bonds of God.   When we let Jesus rebuild our lives from the ruins from which he saved us, we will be able to let go of our customary ways and the prejudices that keep us from welcoming all his family.

Each time God saves us from something, we are saved for something… saved for the new community of all the saints.
