Supportive Community Network

May the Divine Source of all life fill us with courage to witness to the equality with which we are created.

May God who goes by many names, inspire decision makers with justice and the realization that they are given power ‘for such a time as this.’

May we all leave here in harmony, greeting friend and foe with equal LOVE, and compassion because we know that only love can conquer hate.

May we all be blessed as equal children of God.

Receiving our Supportive Community Network certificate. July, 2015 at Annual Conference

On Sunday, April 26, 2015, two votes were taken to determine the congregation’s interest in joining the small but growing network of Brethren and Mennonite churches that are also welcoming of LGBT people as ACoB has been for many years. The sense of the congregation (all people present voted) and the binding member-only votes were both overwhelmingly in favor of joining this network.

Being part of this growing group is a prophetic statement of welcome for ALL, a step toward equality for ALL, and a witness to our own denomination on the side of justice.
