‘The Bible With and Without Jesus’ Interfaith Book Discussion + Panel
April 21, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Thursdays, April 14, 21 and 28 at 7 pm, join with congregations in the Arlington area to study Jewish and Christian interpretations of the Bible. We’ll be exploring the pathbreaking new book, The Bible With and Without Jesus, by scholars Amy-Jill Levine and Marc Zvi Brettler. Members of Jewish, Christian, and Unitarian congregations will come together over Zoom to explore topics such as original sin, “an eye for an eye,” and sacrifice and atonement and how these concepts are portrayed in the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament. Clergy from the participating congregations, including Pastor Matt, will serve as panelists and will facilitate small, interactive breakout sessions. People from any congregation may sign up for this event using UUCA’s Faith 360 registration portal here: http://bit.ly/ArlingtonInterfaith_BibleWandWOJesus.
