Community Worship Series, Sundays in August

All are welcome to a Summer Worship Series shared by Arlington Church of the Brethren, Arlington Forest United Methodist, Bethel United Church of Christ, and First Vietnamese American UMC. We will gather via Zoom each Sunday morning in August at 10 am. Note this is an hour earlier than our usual worship time. On the fifth Sunday we will gather via Zoom at 9 am and physically distanced in person at Glen Carlyn Park at 10:30 am.

The first Sunday (8/2), we gathered on Arlington Forest United Methodist’s Zoom link and heard their new Pastor William Chaney preaching. The second Sunday (8/9) we welcomed new community partner hosts, First Vietnamese American United Methodist, with Pastor William preaching again. This third Sunday (8/17) we’ll gather on Bethel United Church of Christ’s Zoom link with Pastor Anne Holmes preaching, on the fourth Sunday (8/23) we’ll gather on Arlington Church of the Brethren’s Zoom link with Pastor Matt Rittle preaching, and on the fifth Sunday (8/30) we’ll gather on Zoom for a short reflective style service followed by a physically distanced “BYO everything” picnic at Glen Carlyn Park at 10:30 am.
